✅ How to Track Time on Tasks in Britixo CRM?

📘 Introduction:

Britixo CRM allows staff to track how much time is spent on each task. This is useful for internal productivity monitoring or billing clients for time-based work. You can start timers, log manual time, and view a full breakdown of time entries per task.

🧭 Step-by-Step: Track Time on a Task

🟢 1. Open the Task

  • Go to Tasks from the left sidebar.

  • Click on the task you want to track time for.

⏱️ 2. Start the Timer

  • On the task page, click the Start Timer button near the top.

  • The timer will start counting in the background while you work.

🔔 Only one timer can run per staff member at a time.

🛑 3. Stop the Timer

  • When you’ve finished working, return to the task and click Stop Timer.

  • The time entry will be saved automatically with the current date and duration.

📝 4. Add a Manual Time Entry (Optional)

If you forgot to use the timer, you can manually log time:

  • Scroll to the Timesheets section inside the task.

  • Click Log Time Manually.

  • Enter:

    • Start Time & End Time

    • Date

    • Note (what was done during the time)

  • Click Save Time

📅 5. View Time Entries

  • Under the Timesheets tab in the task, you’ll see:

    • Staff name

    • Time spent

    • Date

    • Notes

  • Admins can edit or delete time entries if needed.

💼 6. Billable Time (Optional)

  • If the task is marked as Billable, the tracked time can be included in project billing or invoices.

  • You can convert time entries to invoice line items later under the Projects module.

✅ Notes:

  • Only staff members assigned to the task can start or stop timers.

  • Timers continue running even if you navigate away from the task page.

  • Time tracking improves transparency and billing accuracy across projects.
