Convert Proposals to Invoices or Projects in Britixo?
📘 Introduction:
Once a client accepts a proposal in Britixo, you can instantly convert it into an invoice or a project. This helps you maintain continuity in your workflow and avoids manual re-entry of agreed terms or pricing.
🔁 Step-by-Step: Convert a Proposal
📄 1. Open the Accepted Proposal
Navigate to Sales > Proposals
Find the proposal with the Accepted status
Click the View icon to open it
🔄 2. Use the Convert Button
At the top right of the proposal view, you’ll see:
Convert to Invoice
Convert to Project
Click the appropriate option based on your process.
📜 Converting to Invoice
When you select Convert to Invoice:
A new invoice form opens, pre-filled with:
Client information
Proposal line items
Taxes and discounts
Notes and terms (if applicable)
You can:
Adjust any of the fields
Set due dates and payment terms
Add attachments or custom fields
Once done, click Save Invoice.
The proposal will now show a link to the created invoice.
🗂️ Converting to Project
When you select Convert to Project:
A new project setup screen appears with:
Project name (copied from proposal)
Customer details
Budget and related notes
You can:
Assign staff members
Set start and deadline dates
Add milestones, tags, or custom fields
Click Save Project to finalise.
The proposal now links to the created project.
🔗 Viewing Linked Records
On the proposal view page, a tab or link will appear:
Linked Invoice or Linked Project
You can click through to view or edit the associated record
✅ Tips:
Only Accepted proposals can be converted
Use conversion to auto-transfer pricing, taxes, and terms
You can still edit invoices or projects after conversion.
