Using Digital Signatures on Proposals in Britixo CRM.
📘 Introduction:
Britixo makes it easy for clients to accept proposals with a legally valid digital signature. This speeds up the approval process, enhances security, and keeps records properly stored within the CRM. No printing, scanning, or back-and-forth emails required.
🧭 Step-by-Step: Enable Digital Signature
✍️ 1. Create or Edit a Proposal
Go to Sales > Proposals
Click New Proposal, or open a draft
✅ 2. Enable the Signature Requirement
Scroll to the bottom of the proposal form.
Tick the checkbox:
Require Customer Signature
This will ensure that the client must sign the proposal digitally in order to accept it.
📌 If this box is not ticked, the client can accept the proposal with a simple confirmation—without a signature.
📧 3. Send the Proposal to the Client
Click Send to Email from the proposal page
The client will receive a link to view the proposal online
They will now see a “Sign & Accept” button, and a signature input area.
🖊️ Client Signature Experience
When the client clicks “Sign & Accept”, they can:
Draw their signature using a mouse or finger
Submit the acceptance securely
The proposal will be updated to Accepted, and the signature will be logged and stored.
📜 View Signed Proposal
Staff can:
Open the proposal
Scroll to the bottom to view the Signature Block
Client’s full name
Signature image
Date and time of signing
Optionally download a PDF copy with the signature included
🔐 Notes on Signature Validity
Signatures are digitally recorded and timestamped
Proposals with signatures cannot be edited after acceptance
The system stores the IP address and contact identity for verification
✅ Tips:
Enable digital signatures by default in Settings > Sales > Proposals
Mention acceptance terms clearly in the client note
Signatures help avoid disputes and streamline legal compliance.
