✅ How to Disable or Delete a Client in Britixo

In Britixo, you can either disable a client to keep their records without further activity, or delete a client entirely if no financial or linked data exists. Disabling is safer when records like invoices, tasks, or tickets are still associated.

This guide explains when and how to disable or delete a client, and what the consequences are for each action.

🔹 Step-by-Step: Disable or Delete a Client

🧭 Open the Client Profile

  1. Log in to your Britixo account at https://britixo.com/app/login.

  2. Navigate to Customers → Clients.

  3. Click on the Client Name to open their profile page.

🚫 Disable a Client

  1. In the client bar, where you will see company name, just after that, there is a button for activation & deactivation. (see the screenshot below).

  2. Select “Deactivate Client” (may also appear as “Mark as Inactive” in some setups).

  3. Confirm the action in the prompt.

✅ This will hide the client from the default active clients list but retain all data including invoices, contacts, and tickets.

To re-enable the client later:

  • Go to the clients list

  • Use the filter to view Inactive Clients

  • Open the client and choose Activate from the same menu

🗑️ Delete a Client (Only If Allowed)

Britixo allows deletion of a client only if:

  • There are no invoices, payments, estimates, proposals, projects, or tickets linked to the client

  • You have the appropriate staff permissions

To delete:

  1. Select the client on the client/company profile.

  2. Click on the arrow (at the top of the menu bar of client area) then “Delete Client”.

  3. Confirm deletion when prompted.

⚠️ Deleted clients cannot be recovered. If any data is linked, deletion will be blocked to protect system integrity.

🧠 Tip

If you're unsure whether to remove a client entirely, it's best to disable them. This retains history for audit and reporting purposes while preventing new interaction.
