✅ How to Convert Estimates into Invoices or Projects in Britixo

In Britixo, once a client approves an estimate, you can instantly convert it into a fully detailed invoice or launch it as a new project. This saves time, reduces duplication, and maintains continuity between sales and delivery.

This article explains the exact steps to convert estimates into invoices or projects based on your client’s acceptance.

🔹 Locate the Approved Estimate

  1. Log in to Britixo at https://britixo.com/app/login.

  2. Go to Sales → Estimates from the left-hand menu.

  3. Find the estimate you want to convert.

  4. The estimate should have a status of Accepted.

If the estimate is still in Draft or Sent status, you can mark it as Accepted manually or wait for the client to approve it via the client portal.

🔁 Convert to Invoice

  1. Open the accepted estimate.

  2. In the top-right corner, click More Options (three-dot menu).

  3. Select Convert to Invoice.

Britixo will:

  • Copy all estimate items into the invoice

  • Preserve taxes, quantities, prices, and client details

  • Assign a new invoice number automatically

  1. Review the invoice form and make any necessary adjustments:

  • Add a payment due date

  • Apply additional discounts

  • Modify terms and conditions

  • Assign to a staff member (if needed)

  1. Click Save to generate the invoice.

You can now send it to the client directly via email or mark it as paid/partially paid.

🛠️ Convert to Project

  1. Open the accepted estimate.

  2. Click More Options, then choose Convert to Project.

  3. In the project creation form:

  • The project name will be auto-filled (editable)

  • The client is linked automatically

  • The estimate items are used for project scope or task references

  • Set a start date, deadline, billing type, and assigned staff

  1. Click Save to create the project.

You can now manage this project through the Projects module, assign tasks, upload files, and track progress.

🧠 Tip

Before converting, always review the estimate content and client details. Any changes made in the invoice or project after conversion will not affect the original estimate.
