✅ How to Create and Assign Tasks in Britixo CRM?

📘 Introduction:

In Britixo CRM, tasks are the building blocks of a project. You can create tasks inside a project or link existing ones. This allows for full tracking of work, staff responsibilities, deadlines, and billing, all from the project interface.

🧭 Step-by-Step: Add Tasks to a Project

🔄 Method 1: Create a Task From Inside the Project

  1. Go to Projects from the sidebar.

  2. Select the desired project.

  3. Click the Tasks tab in the project menu.

  4. Click the green New Task button.

📝 Fill in the Task Details:

  • Task Name: Required (e.g. “Design initial wireframe”)

  • Start Date & Due Date

  • Priority: Low, Medium, High, or Urgent

  • Assigned Staff: Choose team member(s) responsible

  • Billable: Tick this box if hours should be invoiced

  • Visible to Customer: Optional checkbox for client visibility

  • Repeat Every: Optional setting for recurring tasks

  • Description: Add instructions or requirements

  • Checklist: Break the task into subtasks

  • Attachments: Upload any supporting files

  1. Click Save
The task is now linked to the project and visible in the project’s task list.

🔄 Method 2: Link an Existing Task to a Project

  1. Go to Tasks from the sidebar

  2. Find the task you want to link

  3. Click the task to open its detail view

  4. Click the Edit button

  5. Under the Related To section, select:

    • Type: Project

    • Then choose the specific project

  6. Save the task

🔗 It is now listed under both the project and task sections.

🧩 Managing Project Tasks

Inside the project’s Tasks tab, you can:

  • View task statuses: Not Started, In Progress, Completed

  • Click on tasks to view and manage their progress

  • Track time on each task

  • Move tasks between columns if using Kanban view

  • Apply filters by:

    • Status

    • Assigned user

    • Tags

✅ Notes:

  • You can track project completion automatically based on how many tasks are completed (if selected during project setup).

  • Tasks can also trigger email notifications when updated or completed.

  • If customer visibility is enabled, clients can see and comment on tasks linked to their project.
