How to Convert Accepted Proposals to Invoices or Projects In Britixo CRM?
Introduction:
Once a client accepts your proposal in Britixo, you can instantly convert it into a professional invoice or a new project. This streamlines your workflow by eliminating duplicate data entry and ensures seamless transition from sales to delivery.
Step-by-Step: Convert a Proposal
1. Open the Proposal
Go to Sales > Proposals
Filter by Accepted status or search by title
Click on the proposal to open it
2. Choose a Conversion Option
In the top-right corner of the proposal, you'll see:
Convert to Invoice
Convert to Project
These buttons are only visible if the proposal has been Accepted.
Convert to Invoice
Click Convert to Invoice
Britixo opens a new invoice form with:
Client details pre-filled
Proposal content added as line items
Terms, description, and taxes copied over
Review and edit the invoice if needed, then:
Click Save
Or Save & Send to deliver it to the client immediately
Convert to Project
Click Convert to Project
A new project form will open
Britixo pulls in:
Client details
Proposal subject (used as project name)
Any related notes
You can:
Set start and end dates
Assign staff members
Add project description or milestones
Once ready, click Save to create the project.
View Conversion History
Converted proposals will show tags at the top:
Converted to Invoice #XXXX
Converted to Project #XXXX
Clicking these links will take you directly to the related invoice or project.
Can a Proposal Be Converted Twice?
Yes. You can:
Convert once to Invoice
Convert separately to Project
However, you cannot convert to multiple invoices or projects. Each proposal can only create one of each.
Tips:
Edit your proposal templates to include all services for easier invoice conversion
Use the Open Till date to keep proposals time-sensitive
Use status filters in the proposal list to find accepted proposals quickly.
