Creating Custom Proposal Templates in Britixo CRM?
📘 Introduction:
In Britixo, proposal templates help you quickly create professional-looking proposals with consistent branding and structure. These templates can include pre-written content, placeholders, pricing tables, and styling — saving time and improving your client experience.
🧭 Step-by-Step: Create a Proposal Template
📁 1. Navigate to Proposal Templates
Go to Setup > Sales > Proposal Templates
Click the green New Template button in the top-right
✏️ 2. Enter Template Details
Fill out the template form:
Name: Internal title of the template (e.g. “Consulting Services”)
Subject: The default subject line when used in a proposal
Content: The main body of the proposal template
The content section uses the WYSIWYG editor, allowing you to:
Insert headings, lists, tables, images
Format text (bold, underline, colours)
Add sections such as deliverables, timelines, terms
🔁 3. Use Merge Fields
Merge fields are dynamic tags that auto-fill client or system data. Examples:
{client_name} – Inserts the client's name
{proposal_number} – Inserts the proposal ID
{company_name} – Inserts your business name
To use merge fields:
Click the Merge Fields dropdown above the editor
Select the field you want to insert
It will be auto-replaced when the template is used
📌 Make sure each tag is spelled correctly and enclosed in { }.
💰 4. Add Predefined Items (Optional)
If you frequently use standard pricing, you can insert predefined proposal items:
Go to Setup > Predefined Items to create reusable services/products
In the proposal template editor, click Insert Item to pull in these items with price and quantity
💾 5. Save the Template
Click Save Template at the bottom
The new template will appear in your list of available templates
Now, when creating a new proposal (via Sales > Proposals > New Proposal), you'll see this template in the Template dropdown.
🧠 Editing or Deleting Templates
Go to Setup > Sales > Proposal Templates
Use the Edit or Delete icons next to each template
Templates can be edited at any time and changes apply to future proposals — not to already-sent ones.
✅ Tips:
Use templates for each service or client type (e.g. design, marketing, consulting)
Structure your templates with clear sections (intro, pricing, terms)
Always test your template with a draft proposal to preview how it looks.
