Enabling Client Comments on Proposals in Britixo?
📘 Introduction:
Britixo offers an option to enable comments on proposals so your clients can respond directly with questions or feedback before accepting. This creates a more collaborative and transparent sales process, all within the same proposal screen.
🧭 Step-by-Step: Enable Comments on a Proposal
📄 1. Create or Edit a Proposal
Navigate to Sales > Proposals
Click New Proposal, or edit an existing draft
💬 2. Enable the Comment Option
Scroll to the bottom of the proposal editor page. You’ll find the option:
✅ Allow Comments from Customer
Tick this checkbox to enable commenting on this proposal.
Once saved, the client will see a comment box below the proposal when viewing it online.
📥 Receiving Client Comments
When a client submits a comment, you will receive a notification (email or in-app, depending on your preferences).
The comment will appear at the bottom of the proposal page under the Comments section.
Comments are threaded and include:
Client name
Timestamp
Message content
🧠 Only logged-in client contacts can leave comments. If login is not required to view proposals, comments will not be available.
🧑💼 Responding to Comments
Staff users can respond directly from the proposal page:
Type your reply in the comment box
Click Post Comment
Your reply will be visible to the client and added to the thread.
🔐 Permissions & Notes
Comments are always visible to all staff members who can view the proposal
Clients cannot edit or delete their comments
You can disable commenting at any time by editing the proposal and unchecking “Allow Comments”
✅ Tips:
Use comments for clarifications instead of endless emails
Ask clients to confirm final changes through comments before acceptance
Comments are logged in the proposal’s activity timeline for future reference.
