Setting Proposal Expiry and Validity Dates in Britixo CRM?
📘 Introduction:
Every proposal in Britixo can include an Open Till (expiry) date, ensuring that offers are time-bound and prompting clients to respond quickly. This helps protect your pricing, availability, and service terms while keeping your sales cycle efficient.
🧭 Step-by-Step: Set Expiry Date on a Proposal
📝 1. Create or Edit a Proposal
Go to Sales > Proposals
Click New Proposal, or select a draft to edit
📅 2. Locate the "Open Till" Field
In the proposal creation form, you’ll see a field labelled:
Open Till
This is the expiry date of the proposal.
Select a future date using the calendar picker. This sets how long the client has to accept the proposal.
🔁 3. What Happens After Expiry?
If the client does not accept the proposal by the “Open Till” date, the proposal status will change to Expired
The client can still view the proposal, but they will no longer be able to accept it online
Staff can manually re-activate or resend it with an updated expiry
🧭 Modify or Extend the Expiry Date
You can change the expiry date any time:
Open the proposal
Click Edit
Update the Open Till date
Save the changes
🛠️ Clients will see the updated expiry immediately when they next view the proposal.
🔔 Reminders & Notifications
Britixo does not send automatic reminders before expiry by default. However, you can:
Manually follow up with clients using the Send to Email button
Use proposal filters to identify those expiring soon (e.g. within 7 days)
✅ Tips:
Set expiry dates for 7, 14, or 30 days based on your offer structure
Use expired status filters to follow up or revise terms
Consider creating urgency in your proposal content referencing the expiry.
