Using Proposal Templates or Manual Entry in Britixo?
📘 Introduction:
In Britixo, proposals can be created using saved templates or by manually entering the content each time. Templates help maintain consistency and save time, while manual entry offers full customisation for unique deals or offers.
🧭 Step-by-Step: Use a Proposal Template
📂 1. Navigate to New Proposal
Go to Sales > Proposals
Click New Proposal
📑 2. Choose a Template (Optional)
Near the content editor, you'll find a dropdown menu:
Select Proposal Template
Pick any previously saved template from this list.
Once selected, the content fields (body, notes, terms) will be populated automatically based on the template.
✍️ 3. Customise the Loaded Content
Even after loading a template, you can:
Modify line items
Add custom text or clauses
Change client-specific notes
Apply different taxes or discounts
✅ This offers the flexibility of personalising each proposal while using a consistent starting point.
🖋️ Manual Entry from Scratch
If you do not select a template:
Leave the template dropdown empty
Fill in the Proposal Content, Client Notes, and Terms manually
Use the built-in text editor to:
Add headers, bullet points, or formatting
Insert placeholders like {proposal_number}, {client_name}
Add tables, images, or price tables
🔁 Saving New Templates
To save a custom proposal layout for future use:
Navigate to Setup > Sales > Proposal Templates
Click New Template
Add title and content
Save
This template will now appear in the dropdown list for all users creating proposals.
✅ Tips:
Use templates for standard services or pricing structures
Always customise the client’s name and expiry date before sending
Save frequently used layouts to reduce creation time.
