Restricting Staff Access by IP Address in Britixo CRM.
Introduction
Britixo allows administrators to restrict staff logins to specific IP addresses. This prevents unauthorised access from outside approved networks, adding a strong security layer — especially useful for businesses with fixed office locations or remote teams using a VPN.
Step-by-Step: Restricting Access by IP
1. Access the Staff Member Profile
Log in to the Britixo admin panel.
Go to Setup → Staff.
Click on the name of the staff member you want to restrict.
2. Locate the IP Restriction Field
Scroll to the Allowed IPs section in the staff profile.
Enter one or more IP addresses, separated by commas.
Example: 192.168.1.100, 203.0.113.25
3. Save Changes
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
From now on, the staff member can only log in from the entered IP addresses.
Important Notes
If the staff member’s IP changes frequently (dynamic IP), this restriction could block their access.
Always keep an admin account without IP restrictions for emergency access.
VPNs can be used to provide a fixed IP for remote workers.
