✅ Restricting Staff Access by IP Address in Britixo CRM.

Introduction

Britixo allows administrators to restrict staff logins to specific IP addresses. This prevents unauthorised access from outside approved networks, adding a strong security layer — especially useful for businesses with fixed office locations or remote teams using a VPN.


Step-by-Step: Restricting Access by IP


⚙️ 1. Access the Staff Member Profile

  • Log in to the Britixo admin panel.

  • Go to Setup → Staff.

  • Click on the name of the staff member you want to restrict.


🌐 2. Locate the IP Restriction Field

  • Scroll to the Allowed IPs section in the staff profile.

  • Enter one or more IP addresses, separated by commas.

    • Example: 192.168.1.100, 203.0.113.25


🛡️ 3. Save Changes

  • Click Save at the bottom of the page.

  • From now on, the staff member can only log in from the entered IP addresses.


💡 Important Notes

  • If the staff member’s IP changes frequently (dynamic IP), this restriction could block their access.

  • Always keep an admin account without IP restrictions for emergency access.

  • VPNs can be used to provide a fixed IP for remote workers.
