Archiving or Marking a Project as Finished in Britixo?
📘 Introduction:
When a project is completed in Britixo, you can mark it as Finished or archive it to keep your project list tidy. Marking a project as finished stops further editing while preserving all related tasks, files, invoices, and discussions for reference. Archiving further removes the project from active views without deleting it.
🧭 Marking a Project as Finished
✅ 1. Open the Project
Go to Projects from the sidebar
Click the project you wish to complete
🏁 2. Click “Mark as Finished”
In the top-right area of the project view, click the “More” dropdown
Select “Mark as Finished”
🧠 Once marked as finished, the project status will update, and it will no longer appear in active lists by default unless filtered.
📥 What Happens After a Project Is Finished?
The project becomes read-only: no more tasks, edits, or comments can be added
All associated data (tasks, files, invoices, timesheets) remain visible
You can still view reports, invoice history, or export project data
Clients can still access the project in their portal (if previously visible)
📂 Archiving a Project
Archiving a project removes it from active workspaces for both staff and clients.
Steps:
Navigate to the Projects module
Click the three-dot menu (or "More") next to a finished project
Select “Archive”
🔒 Only staff with proper permissions can archive projects
Archived projects are not deleted and can be unarchived at any time.
🔁 Reopening a Finished Project
Need to resume work?
Open the project
Click the “Reopen Project” button in the top-right corner
The project returns to active status and can be edited
🧭 Viewing Finished or Archived Projects
Use filters in the Projects list to view:
Active
Finished
Archived
Go to:
Projects > Filter by Status
You can also search for specific projects using the global search bar.
✅ Tips:
Mark projects as finished to avoid accidental changes
Archive only when you no longer need to access the project regularly
Use status filters for cleaner project management views
