How to Create and Assign Tasks in Britixo CRM?
Introduction:
Tasks in Britixo help you manage day-to-day work, delegate responsibilities, and monitor progress across projects or departments. This guide walks you through how to create a task and assign it to the appropriate user with full control over status, deadlines, and visibility.
Step-by-Step: Create and Assign a Task:
1. Access the Tasks Module
From the left sidebar, click Tasks .
You can choose between List View , Kanban View , or Tasks by Status .
2. Click "New Task"
In the top-left corner, click the New Task button.
3. Fill in Task Details
In the task creation form:
Task Name : A clear and descriptive title (e.g. "Send proposal to client").
Related To (optional) : Link the task to a Customer , Project , Invoice , etc.
Priority : Choose from Low , Medium , High , or Urgent .
Start Date & Due Date : Define the timeframe.
Repeat Every (optional) : Set recurrence if the task is repetitive.
Tags : Add searchable tags for internal organisation.
4. Assign Staff to the Task
In the Assigned To field, select one or more team members.
Assigned users will be notified and the task will appear on their dashboard.
5. Add Task Description or Checklist
Use the Description field to provide context, requirements, or instructions.
Add subtasks via the Checklist tab to break the work into steps.
6. Attach Files (Optional)
Upload documents or images via the Attachments tab.
7. Visibility Settings
Use the Visible to customer checkbox to allow clients to see the task via their portal (if linked to a project).
You can also mark the task as Billable if it's part of a project that will be invoiced.
8. Click Save
Once all details are set, click Save .
The task will now appear in the task list, assigned to selected staff members.
What Happens Next?
Assigned users will see the task on their dashboard.
They can update status (Not Started → In Progress → Completed).
Staff can leave comments, track time, and update progress.
