Compare opportunity win cohorts
Group opportunities by creation month and compare how quickly mature opportunities became wins.
Where to goSales CRM → Reports → Win cohorts
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Britixo workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Open Reports and select Win cohorts. The first report uses creation dates from the start of the current year through today.
- Choose Created from and Created to, then optionally narrow Pipeline, Owner or Currency.
- Choose Run cohort report. Changing any filter clears the old results and exports until the next successful run.
- Read the matching opportunity count and current Open, Won and Lost counts.
- Compare each creation-month row across the 7-, 30-, 60-, 90-, 180- and 365-day windows.
- Select a percentage to inspect the eligible opportunities behind that cell. Select a month name to inspect every matching opportunity in that month.
Behavior and limits
- Creation dates determine which opportunities enter the report. Actual close dates determine how quickly current wins closed; expected close dates are not used.
- Each row contains only the part of that creation month covered by your selected dates. Months with no matching opportunities are omitted.
- A time window includes only opportunities at least that many calendar days old on the observation date. Younger opportunities are labelled maturing and are excluded from both the numerator and denominator, even if they already won.
- Only current Won opportunities with usable actual close dates can count as timed wins. Open and Lost records remain in eligible denominators.
- The report is a current-state analysis. Reopened opportunities no longer count as wins, and later owner, outcome or permission changes can change a refreshed report. It does not reconstruct historical stage transitions or retained historical snapshots.
- Archived opportunities are excluded. An owner filter can narrow your existing access but cannot grant access to another owner’s opportunities. No new role or management permission is needed to read this report.
- Choose one to 367 days of creation dates, ending no later than today. The report supports up to 1,000 matching opportunities and refuses larger results without partial rates.
- All currencies can be counted together because these measures are opportunity counts and percentages. No monetary amounts, exchange rates or accounting totals are aggregated.
Check it worked
- Check the creation dates and observation date before comparing cohorts.
- Read both eligible and maturing counts for each cell.
- Inspect a cell’s records to confirm the denominator rather than relying on colour alone.
- Refresh after a relevant opportunity or permission change.
Troubleshooting
- For a 1,000-opportunity limit error, narrow creation dates, pipeline, owner or currency.
- For no results, check opportunity creation dates, current ownership and archived state.
- A disabled dash means no opportunities have completed that window; it is different from a zero-percent rate.
- If two colleagues see different results, compare their current Sales CRM record access and selected filters.
- Use Performance for closed-deal win rate and current stage age; its date basis and denominator differ from this report.
