Understand which storage supports the services you request, what optional tools do, and how to change your decision. Refusing optional visitor tools does not stop you making an enquiry or using our available contact routes.

1. About this policy
This policy explains the cookies, browser storage and similar technologies used on britixo.com, how they support our services, and how to manage optional features. It applies to business customers, consumers and other visitors. Read it with our Privacy Policy, which explains personal information, lawful bases, recipients, international transfers, retention and your rights.
The website is operated by Britixo Software Solutions UK Ltd., registered in England and Wales under company number 17170769, at Unit 5-6 Titford Lane, Rowley Regis, B65 0PY, United Kingdom.
Our services include software, websites and apps; SaaS, CRM and business systems; APIs, integrations and AI features; consultancy, managed IT, remote support and cybersecurity; hosting, cloud, email and domains; VoIP and communications; and account, billing and support services. The technologies you encounter depend on which features you use. This policy does not mean every service sets every item listed below.
Connected services on britixo.co.uk, proplix.co.uk, a customer’s own domain or a supplier’s website may have separate storage and notices. A choice on britixo.com does not automatically synchronise with every other domain, app, browser or device. Customer-controlled websites and applications may require their own notices.
2. What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser and, where applicable, sent with later requests. First-party cookies relate to the website you visit; third-party technologies involve another provider. A session cookie normally lasts for a browser session, while a persistent cookie has an expiry time.
Local storage keeps information for a website origin across visits. It does not automatically expire like a cookie: the website must check an age limit or remove it, or you must clear it. Session storage normally belongs to a browser tab and ends with that tab’s session; browser recovery or session-restore settings can affect how long it remains.
Scripts, network requests and identifiers can also support chat, measure visits or deliver a requested service. Blocking cookies does not block every network request. Websites, hosting services and payment providers can still receive technical connection information needed to respond to a request, including an IP address and browser details.
3. Your privacy choices
The Privacy choices control is available on the website. The standard dialog offers:
- Essential cookies only: browse without loading the optional visitor and chat module or enabling optional Google Analytics page-view reporting. Essential service functions and your saved choice remain available.
- Allow chat & visitor insights: enable the optional chat and visitor features offered on an eligible public page, together with consent-dependent analytics where installed.
- Allow live chat: this label replaces the broader option on protected pages or where a supported browser privacy signal is present. It requests restricted chat; broader visitor tracking stays off.
You can use the website and make an enquiry without accepting optional visitor tools. Contact forms, the Support Desk and other contact routes remain available. Closing a browser, scrolling, following a link or continuing to browse is not treated as consent. Your cookie choice does not subscribe you to marketing or authorise new uses of your account information.
4. Essential and requested-service storage
Storage needed to remember your privacy decision is used even when optional tools are refused. Depending on the service you request, account and transaction functions may also require session authentication, security checks, fraud prevention, request verification and continuity between steps. These are distinct from optional audience measurement.
Where storage or access is strictly necessary to deliver a service you request, or another applicable legal exception applies, prior cookie consent is not required for that purpose. An exception for one purpose does not authorise unrelated advertising or analytics. Personal information remains subject to the protections described in our Privacy Policy.
Some public pages also keep local interface state, such as whether a service-options panel has already appeared during the tab session. That state manages the interface; it is not the visitor analytics choice. Browser controls can remove it.
5. Browser storage used by the website
This table identifies the main named items in the public website’s current configuration. It separates a preference’s usable lifetime from how long an object can physically remain in your browser. Names and availability can differ in authenticated products, provider-hosted payment flows and later software versions.

Older browsers may retain britixo_tailored_privacy_choice_v1, britixo_tailored_ads_choice_v1 or Google advertising cookies beginning _gcl_ from an earlier configuration. These are not new advertising permissions under the current page. See section 9 for the current advertising position and removal options.
6. Optional chat, visitor insights and account presence
With the relevant permission, our connected visitor platform can provide live chat and website insights. Depending on the mode, it processes visitor/session identifiers, permitted page and interaction activity, device/browser information, technical connection data and messages you choose to send in chat. A chat message is information you actively provide; it is not permission to inspect unrelated private records.
The public-site loader is restricted to configured services on britixo.co.uk and proplix.co.uk. The controls keep the general interaction collector out of signed-in account and application routes. On the supported client-area page, limited account-presence reporting can identify a consented session as signed in and report whether it is active or has left. That component uses a generic client-area address and does not read private profile fields or account records.
Contact, search and other protected routes, including pages with query parameters, restrict broader visitor tracking. Where chat is offered there, an explicit chat choice can enable the restricted mode. Availability depends on the page and service; accepting a choice does not guarantee that every feature loads successfully.
7. Google Analytics and technical requests
Where installed on the public website, Google Analytics page-view reporting requires a valid analytics choice. The configuration excludes protected account, contact and search routes and pages with query parameters. Supported privacy signals also restrict this reporting. The tailored business software page currently does not include the Google Analytics tag.
On pages that include it, Google’s tag library can be requested when the page loads, before optional reporting is enabled. That connection can reveal technical information such as an IP address and browser details to Google. Choosing essential cookies only does not mean that no connection to Google or any other service can occur. The configuration starts analytics and advertising storage settings in a denied state and disables the automatic page-view event.
Consent-dependent analytics can help us understand visits and improve the website. Identifiers and technical information may constitute personal information even when a report does not show a person’s name. See Google’s Privacy Policy and our Privacy Policy for the wider processing context.
8. Browser privacy signals and protected pages
The website recognises supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. These keep broader visitor tracking off. You can still explicitly request live chat where the page offers it; this uses the restricted chat scope. Limited account-presence reporting is also disabled when those signals are detected.
These settings are interpreted by the website’s controls. A browser extension, script blocker or unavailable storage can further restrict features. We do not claim that a Britixo choice changes another provider’s independent settings or makes a browser anonymous.
9. Advertising measurement: current position
Google Ads measurement has been removed from the tailored business software page. That page currently uses the standard chat and visitor-insights choices; it does not offer a separate advertising-measurement opt-in. A previous advertising choice is not used there to enable Google Ads measurement.
Earlier visits may have left an advertising preference or cookies in your browser. Removing a script does not necessarily delete previously stored items or information already received by a provider. You can clear the relevant site data in your browser and manage Google’s settings through Google’s cookie information. Browser controls may require separate clearing for different domains.
If we introduce optional advertising technologies again, we will explain the purposes and providers and obtain the consent required for that use. Consent to chat or analytics, submitting an enquiry and choosing Google Pay do not themselves grant advertising permission.
10. Stripe, UK bank transfers, Apple Pay and Google Pay
Our payment arrangements include Stripe, UK bank transfers, Apple Pay and Google Pay, where offered for a purchase. The checkout or invoice identifies the methods available. A payment flow can involve storage or device information needed to authenticate you, maintain the transaction and detect fraud.
Stripe-hosted or embedded payment services can use their own cookies and similar technologies. Their presence and duration depend on the flow used. See Stripe’s Cookie Policy and the settings it makes available. A payment-security purpose does not automatically make unrelated analytics or advertising essential.
Apple Pay and Google Pay also depend on your wallet, device, payment network and issuer. Wallet authorisation is separate from this website’s visitor or advertising choice. See Apple Pay security and privacy and Google’s Payments Privacy Notice.
Reading UK bank-transfer instructions does not itself authorise bank tracking on this website. If you open your bank’s website or app, its own storage, security and privacy arrangements apply. Refusing optional website visitor tools does not cancel a payment or subscription. Blocking storage required by a checkout or bank can prevent that particular transaction flow from working.
11. Enquiry drafts, portals and apps
A service-page form may carry your draft to the contact page in session storage, with the 30-minute acceptance rule described in the table. This is a convenience for the enquiry you request, not a completed submission or marketing subscription. Avoid entering passwords, full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry.
Other products may provide their own save-and-resume, account or authentication features. Their notices and on-screen explanations apply to those features. Our website cookie control does not manage mobile operating-system permissions, microphone access, call recording, all VoIP app storage, remote-support permissions or customer-configured integrations. 12. Change or withdraw your choice
Open Privacy choices and select Essential cookies only to withdraw permission for the optional visitor tools. If a tool has already loaded, the controls reload the page to stop it. On pages using Google Analytics, the page configuration also updates the consent state and can reload to stop further optional reporting.
The withdrawal routine removes the named visitor identifiers listed in section 5 from local and session storage. It retains your refusal so the website can respect it. It does not promise to delete every Google, payment-provider or third-party cookie, every saved draft, or records already held on a server. Use browser site-data controls for wider device-side deletion, and our Privacy Policy contact routes for personal-information requests.
Your decision is normally remembered for less than 180 days by the current controls. A new or materially changed choice, expired or invalid settings, cleared storage, another browser or a different device can require a fresh decision. A loaded page may need to be reloaded to apply an updated setting. Withdrawal does not retrospectively invalidate processing that was lawful before it.
13. Browser controls and third-party services
You can use your browser’s privacy settings to inspect and delete cookies, local storage and other site data; block third-party cookies; limit tracking; and manage exceptions. The available controls differ by browser and device. Clearing only cookies may leave local or session storage behind. Private browsing also does not prevent a service from receiving requests while you use it.
Clearing site data can remove your saved refusal as well as any acceptance, sign you out or lose a draft. If that happens, choose your settings again when prompted. Blocking all storage may affect sign-in, security checks, payment and other requested functions.
Opening an external link, WhatsApp, a support platform, a wallet or a bank can connect you to a separate service. Its own notice and settings apply there. Britixo remains responsible for its own processing and integration choices; a provider notice does not remove your statutory rights.
14. Personal information, retention and your rights
A cookie or session identifier, IP address or activity record can be personal information. The lifespan of browser storage is different from the retention of information received by Britixo or a provider. Necessary operational and security logs are not disabled by refusing optional cookies.
Our Privacy Policy explains the purposes and lawful bases for processing, who receives information, international-transfer safeguards, retention criteria, security, individual rights and complaints. A website preference is not a blanket acceptance of every processing activity described there. Where we process information for a business customer, the customer’s instructions and applicable data-processing arrangements also matter.

Please tell us the page, browser and approximate time of the issue without sending passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information. You can raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO’s complaints service. Its cookie guidance also explains browser storage and choices.
We may update this policy when services, technologies or legal requirements change. The date above identifies this version. Publishing revised wording does not itself grant consent to a new optional purpose; the applicable choice must still be obtained.
