What this feature does

Correct customer details, line items, dates and terms before the invoice is finalised or paid. Britixo CRM keeps the result connected to the relevant customer, staff member and operational history where the feature supports those relationships. That connection is important for search, reporting, client portal visibility and future automation.

Step-by-step workflow

  1. Open SalesInvoices → Open invoice and locate the existing record.
  2. Review status, activity, related transactions and client-visible history before editing.
  3. Change only the fields required by the current business event.
  4. Recalculate or recheck dates, totals, tax, ownership and visibility when those values are affected.
  5. Save and resolve any validation errors on the same form.
  6. Refresh or reopen the record and confirm the new value appears in the summary and activity history.
  7. Notify the customer or responsible team only when the edited information changes their action or obligation.

Checks before completion

  • Confirm the customer and currency before adding items.
  • Review totals and tax treatment before sending.
  • Do not edit a paid invoice without following the organisation’s accounting procedure.
  • Check whether the result should be visible to a customer contact or only to staff.
  • Confirm the final status, activity entry, generated document or notification before leaving the record.
