Configuring Real Estate Settings in Britixo Real Estate or Property Management Software UK.
Introduction
Before you start managing properties, agents, or brokers in Britixo, it’s important to configure the Real Estate Settings . These settings control core features such as map integration , Broker Portal access , and automatic code prefixes for records like properties, agents, and owners. Once configured, these options ensure your Real Estate module runs smoothly and consistently.
Step 1: Access Real Estate Settings
From the left-hand menu, go to Real Estate → Settings .
You will see two sections available:
General Settings
Prefix Settings
Step 2: Configure General Settings
Click on the General tab .
Here, you can configure:
Google Maps API Key
Enter your Google Maps API Key in the field provided.
This enables the Map View in the Properties screen , allowing you to see property locations visually.
Changes are saved automatically after entry.
Show Broker Portal
Enable this option to allow Business Brokers to:
Register themselves, and
Log in via the Broker Portal on the Customer Portal login page.
Disabling this option hides the Broker Portal completely.
Step 3: Configure Prefix Settings
Click on the Prefix tab .
Here, you can set up automatic code prefixes for different record types in the Real Estate module.
Properties – assign a prefix for auto-generated property codes.
Real Estate Agents – assign a prefix for agents.
Property Owners – assign a prefix for owners.
Business Brokers – assign a prefix for brokers.
Example: If you set the prefix PROP- , a new property might be auto-numbered as PROP-001 , PROP-002 , and so on.
Pro Tips
Always test your Google Maps API key before using it in production.
Use consistent prefixes across records to make searching and filtering easier.
Only enable the Broker Portal if your organisation works with independent brokers.
With these Real Estate Settings configured , you’ll unlock advanced features like map integration and ensure all your records are consistently structured with automated prefixes.
