Duplicating or Cloning Proposals in Britixo CRM.
📘 Introduction:
If you frequently create similar proposals or need to resend an updated version of an existing one, Britixo allows you to duplicate proposals in just one click. This helps speed up your workflow and ensures consistency in pricing, layout, and structure.
🔁 Step-by-Step: Clone a Proposal
📄 1. Go to the Proposals List
Navigate to Sales > Proposals
Locate the proposal you want to copy
🧭 2. Click the “Duplicate” Button
Open the proposal by clicking the View icon
At the top-right, click More (three-dot icon)
Select Copy Proposal
This action will create a brand-new proposal pre-filled with:
The same subject, client or lead
Line items and pricing
Notes, terms, and content
Assigned staff
📌 The status of the new proposal will default to Draft .
✏️ 3. Edit the New Proposal (Optional)
Before saving, you can:
Change the client or lead
Update item pricing or quantities
Set a new Open Till expiry date
Add updated client notes
This helps you tailor the cloned proposal to a new scenario while reusing most of the structure.
🔗 When to Use Cloning
When creating a variation of an expired or declined proposal
For repeat clients with similar service packages
When sending renewal offers with updated terms
✅ Tips:
Use proposal templates for common content, and cloning for fully structured deals
Always double-check client info and expiry date after duplication
Cloned proposals will not carry forward previous status, views, or acceptance.
