Build an observed stage funnel
Choose an ordered stage path and compare how accessible opportunities progressed through recorded milestones.
Where to goSales CRM → Reports → Stage funnel
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Britixo workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Open Reports and select Stage funnel.
- Select a pipeline, entry-date range and optional owner or currency.
- Expand Choose the stages in order and select two to ten distinct stages from that pipeline.
- Use the up/down controls to reorder stages, Add funnel stage to include another milestone, or Remove to shorten the path.
- Choose Run stage funnel. Changing settings clears the previous report and exports.
- Review Unique starters, Completed chosen path and the stage bars.
- Select a stage to inspect opportunities that reached it, or choose Not yet at next step to inspect those still short of the following selected milestone.
Behavior and limits
- The first selected stage defines entry into the funnel. Each opportunity starts at its earliest recorded arrival at that stage within the selected inclusive dates; it appears only once.
- If a deal entered that stage before the date range and entered it again within the range, the first qualifying in-range entry starts this report. The report does not require the first-ever entry.
- Subsequent selected milestones are followed through the report’s observation timestamp, including entries after the chosen entry-date end. The entry-date range is not a cutoff for later progression.
- All selected stages must belong to the chosen pipeline. Retired stages can be selected for recorded history, but this does not restore them or make them available for new moves.
- Default stages are up to ten active stages other than Lost in pipeline order. Review and adjust that path to match the question you want to answer.
- Each selected milestone must be observed after the preceding milestone. Skipped stages are not inferred, and no current stage is used as a replacement for a missing entry.
- Current owner and currency filters narrow current accessible opportunities. Archived opportunities are excluded. Moving to another pipeline does not erase recorded milestones or remove a currently accessible opportunity from a qualifying historical entry cohort.
- Choose one to 367 days of entry dates ending no later than today. A report supports up to 1,000 starters and 20,000 recorded entries for the selected stages from those starts. Larger results stop without partial rates.
- The path is report configuration, not a sales process change. Running or editing the funnel does not move opportunities, change pipeline rules, create reminders or require management permission.
Check it worked
- Check the selected pipeline and exact stage order before interpreting the bars.
- Check the entry dates and observation timestamp above the results.
- Inspect recorded stage history for an example opportunity.
- Confirm that the report’s current access scope matches the intended audience.
Troubleshooting
- If a stage appears twice, choose distinct stages before running again.
- If there are fewer than two stages, choose another pipeline or have an authorised administrator configure a suitable sales process through the normal setup workflow.
- For no starters, check dates and recorded arrivals at the first selected stage; current opportunity stages alone do not qualify.
- For a report-limit error, narrow entry dates, owner or currency.
- An unavailable or cross-pipeline stage selection is rejected; refresh the configuration and select current catalogue entries.
