Guides in this workflow
Follow the guide that matches the exact action, filter, menu change or issue.
Open Visitor Intelligence settings
Review collection and privacy options.
Enable or disable visitor collection
Use Collection Enabled to accept or ignore new tracking requests.
Set the live visitor window
Enter 1–60 minutes in the user interface.
Set the retention period
Enter 1–3650 days in the user interface.
Understand retention automation limits
A cleanup_old_data model method exists, but this source registers no cron hook that proves scheduled cleanup.
Respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Enable the option to ignore eligible DNT/GPC requests.
Store full IP addresses
Enable only where lawful and operationally required; the IP hash remains available.
Use hashed IP evidence
The collector calculates a one-way IP hash even when full IP storage is disabled.
Exclude staff tracking
Enable the setting to avoid collecting eligible staff sessions.
Understand installed default settings
Defaults are retention 90, full IP on, DNT on, staff exclusion on, live window 5 and collection enabled.
Understand the full-IP fallback
If the option is absent, model fallback can behave as full-IP storage off.
Understand server-side numeric validation
The controller enforces a minimum of 1; the form supplies the practical upper limits.
Save Visitor Intelligence settings
Submit the displayed values and verify the refreshed state.
