Prepare accounts and access for Zapier
Check the accounts, permissions, lead settings and rollout responsibilities needed before connecting Britixo to Zapier.
Before you begin
Identify the correct company workspace, its administrator and the Zapier account or team that will own the automation. Agree the information the destination service is allowed to receive.
CRM workspace → Tools → Britixo Automations (or Utilities in a classic layout)
Follow these steps
- Confirm that the connector and the intended Zapier app configuration are available for your workspace.
- Use an active staff account. Ask the administrator to review its lead permissions for the actions you need.
- Check that the workspace has at least one valid lead source and one valid lead status.
- Confirm access to the destination app in Zapier and check the Zapier plan, task allowance and any provider requirements.
- Choose a fictional test enquiry, a responsible owner and a way to pause the Zap if the result is wrong.
Check the result
The team can identify the authorising staff member, the Zap owner, the workspace, the source/status choices and the destination before any live data is sent.
Rules, fields and operating limits
- Read/search and webhook access require global View permission for Leads; View own alone is insufficient.
- Create Lead requires Create permission for Leads.
- Changing a role or making a staff account inactive can stop an existing connection’s authorised operations.
If something does not look right
Resolve inactive staff accounts, unavailable lead settings or missing provider access before testing. Ask the administrator to make an authorised access change; do not share another person’s login.
Questions and answers
Can a customer-portal contact authorise the connector?
The OAuth flow uses an active staff login and staff permissions. A customer-portal contact is not interchangeable with a staff account.
Must every user be an administrator?
No. Administrators can inspect the overview. An authorising staff member needs the capabilities required by the requested scopes; ask an administrator to choose the least access appropriate for the job.
Can I use a teammate’s password?
Use your own authorised account or an organisation-managed account established under your access policy. Do not share passwords or verification codes.
Do I need a paid Zapier plan?
That depends on Zapier’s current plan rules and the apps and features in the Zap. Check inside Zapier before rollout; this module does not set Zapier pricing.
Does a free trial automatically activate Zapier?
A trial does not prove that the connector or an approved Zapier app has been enabled. Ask Britixo support to confirm availability for the particular workspace.
Who should own the automation?
Choose an accountable person or team who can review Zap history, manage provider connections, check destination results and arrange staff handover.
