Terminate or reopen an onboarding application
Use the dedicated state transition while keeping the correct property and party history.
Where to goProperties Management → Requests & Applications → Onboarding workspace → selected pack
Before you start
Use tenant Edit and the existing onboarding within your authorised property scope.
Follow these steps
- Open the selected onboarding and inspect its property, tenant and current state.
- Use Terminate Agreement only for the intended context and read the confirmation.
- Check the terminated state and property relationships.
- If reopening is appropriate and offered, use the supported Reopen action and recheck the workflow gates before continuing.
Fields, rules and limits
- Termination removes the tenant link for the selected context while preserving landlord ownership and history. Reopen is a separate supported workflow action and still validates the current record; it does not restore every downstream financial or signed state automatically.
Check it worked
Reopen the source record and verify its reference, saved state and linked evidence.
If something does not look right
Check the required permission, current workflow state and exact validation message before retrying.
Questions and answers
Does this action replace the original evidence?
No. Check the linked source record and its original evidence separately; the saved result describes the task performed here.
What should I do if the action fails?
Read the validation message and reopen the record before retrying. Correct the relationship or state that caused the failure.
