Trace timeline events, documents and communications
Use the Universal property timeline, Documents & evidence and Communication history together when checking what happened to a property.
Before you start
Use the Universal property timeline, Documents & evidence and Communication history together when checking what happened to a property.
Follow these steps
- Open the property Twin and read the timeline in chronological context.
- Identify the source and record reference for a relevant event.
- In Documents & evidence, check the source, status and date before selecting Open.
- Read communication subject, channel, status and date; use the native workflow for the full evidence and delivery detail.
- Compare the event with the current record rather than treating a historical event as the current status.
Check it worked
You can connect an event to the correct source record or evidence file without crossing property or workspace boundaries.
If something does not look right
A document may be unavailable because it is not linked, is protected, has been retained/deleted under policy, or your role cannot open it. A timeline entry alone does not prove an email arrived in an inbox.
Questions and answers
Does the timeline include every email in the CRM?
No. It joins the supported property-related sources, including onboarding/compliance communication history and Flow events.
Are original evidence and generated reports the same?
No. Review the source document and the generated record or PDF separately.
Can I share the protected file URL publicly?
Protected evidence uses authenticated scope checks. Use the supported stakeholder workflow and intended recipient access.
