Create Payment Mode Mapping | Britixo Accounting & Bookkeeping Software UK.
Payment Mode Mapping in Britixo allows you to assign specific accounts for different payment methods, such as cash, bank transfer, or credit card. This ensures that every payment recorded in invoices, expenses, or credit note refunds is posted to the correct accounts without manual adjustments.
Access Payment Mode Mapping
From the left sidebar, go to Accounting → Settings → Mapping Setup → General.
Enable Payment Mode Mapping.
Click the Add button.
Configure Payment Mode Mapping
In the Payment Mode Mapping popup, fill in the details:
Payment Mode – choose the payment method (e.g., cash, bank transfer, card).
Sales (Invoices) – select the Payment Account and Deposit To Account for payments recorded from invoices.
Expenses – select the Payment Account and Deposit To Account for payments recorded in expenses.
Credit Note Refunds – select the Payment Account and Deposit To Account for refund transactions.
Save the Mapping
Once all fields are completed, click Save.
Payments made with the selected mode will now automatically post to the mapped accounts.
Tip: Set up mappings for your most frequently used payment methods (such as cash and bank transfer). This speeds up transaction processing and ensures accuracy in reports.
