Component & Consumable Mapping | Accounting and Bookkeeping Software | UK Compliant.
In Britixo, both components and consumables can be mapped to accounts to ensure your asset-related costs are always reflected correctly in financial reports.
Component value = Purchase cost × Quantity.
Consumable value = Purchase cost × Quantity.
All states can be mapped for both components and consumables.
Manual Mapping
If mapping is disabled, values won’t be mapped automatically. You’ll need to complete mapping manually.
For Components
Go to Fixed Equipment → Components.
Create a component and enter purchase cost, purchase date, and quantity.
Open Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Components.
Click the mapping option → Select the account → Click Save.
For Consumables
Go to Fixed Equipment → Consumables.
Create a consumable and enter purchase cost, purchase date, and quantity.
Open Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Consumables.
Click the mapping option → Select the account → Click Save.
Result:
Data is prioritised by purchase date. If none is entered, the system uses the mapping date.
Automatic Mapping
For Components
Go to Settings → Accounting → Mapping setup → Fixed Equipment tab.
Enable Component Mapping setup.
Select the payment account and deposit to, then click Save.
Create a component with all purchase details.
Result: The value of the component is mapped automatically.
For Consumables
Go to Settings → Accounting → Mapping setup → Fixed Equipment tab.
Enable Consumable Mapping setup.
Select the payment account and deposit to, then click Save.
Create a consumable with all purchase details.
Result: The value of the consumable is mapped automatically.
Mass Mapping
Components
Enable Component Mapping setup and configure accounts.
Go to Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Components.
Select components with status Has not been mapped.
Click Bulk actions → Mass mapping → Confirm.
Consumables
Enable Consumable Mapping setup and configure accounts.
Go to Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Consumables.
Select consumables with status Has not been mapped.
Click Bulk actions → Mass mapping → Confirm.
Result: The selected items are mapped automatically.
Edit Mapping
Go to Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Components/Consumables.
Select the item → Click Edit.
Change the account → Click Save.
Result: The mapped account updates accordingly.
Delete Mapping
Go to Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Components/Consumables.
Select the item → Click Delete.
Confirm in the pop-up.
Result: The mapping is deleted from the account.
Mass Delete Mapping
Go to Accounting → Transactions → Fixed Equipment → Components/Consumables.
Select items with status Has been mapped.
Click Bulk actions → Mass delete mapping → Confirm.
Result: All selected mappings are deleted, and account balances adjust.
