Invoice Mapping | Accounting and Bookkeeping Software UK.
Invoice Mapping in Britixo ensures that product values and taxes from sales invoices are automatically linked to the correct accounts. This saves time, reduces manual entry, and keeps your financial data consistent across all transactions.
Automatic Invoice Mapping
From the left sidebar, go to Accounting → Settings → Mapping Setup → General.
Enable Invoice: Default for All Items.
Enable Tax Default.
Go to Sales → Invoices.
Create a new invoice.
Once the invoice is created, Britixo will automatically map the data.
You can check mappings at Accounting → Transactions → Sales → Invoice.
Click Edit to view mapping details.
How it works:
Product value (excluding tax) → mapped to Invoice: Default for All Items.
Tax amount → mapped to Tax Default.
Advanced Invoice Mapping (with Special Items & Taxes)
Enable Invoice: Default for All Items.
Enable Tax Default.
Create Item Mapping Setup (map individual products to accounts).
Create Tax Mapping Setup (map special tax rates to accounts).
Create a sales invoice.
Example Result
Synology DS920+ → mapped to account under Invoice: Default for All Items.
VAT 5% → mapped to account under Tax Default.
Synology DS220+ → mapped to account under Item Mapping Setup.
VAT 15% → mapped to account under Tax Mapping Setup.
Tip: Always set up item mapping and tax mapping for products with unique account requirements. This ensures invoices with multiple tax rates and product types are mapped correctly.
