Create a lead-related appointment
Schedule follow-up activity against a lead before that person becomes a customer contact.
What this feature does
Schedule follow-up activity against a lead before that person becomes a customer contact. It uses Britixo's permission-aware appointment, availability, status and integration flow rather than an unconnected diary entry.
How the module flow works
The create form can load an eligible lead and store the lead identifier as the appointment relationship.
Lead-related appointments remain distinct from customer-contact appointments, so client portal and automatic customer invoice flows do not apply in the same way.
The record still uses normal provider availability, reminder, status, calendar and history handling.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the new appointment form.
- Choose Lead as the relationship type.
- Select the correct lead and confirm their contact details.
- Complete service, provider, date, time, subject and reminder fields.
- Save and verify the appointment appears on the lead record and in the appointment list.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After this workflow completes, Britixo keeps the appointment and its supported relationships connected. Reopen the appointment and verify the saved status, date, timezone, customer or lead, service, provider, attendees, reminder state, calendar or meeting reference, invoice reference and history that apply to this feature. External email, SMS, Google, Microsoft or payment outcomes must be checked separately from the Britixo database save.
- Open the saved appointment and confirm the final status and source.
- Check the participant, provider, timing and timezone from the full detail page.
- Review the relevant table filter, calendar, history, report or linked invoice instead of relying only on a success message.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Do not link the appointment to a similarly named but incorrect lead.
- Automatic client portal actions require a customer contact, not only a lead.
- After lead conversion, verify whether future appointments need relinking according to your process.
- Use the least destructive correction and retain the appointment history when the booking existed operationally.
- Never bypass a permission, availability, approval, client-access or verification control by changing an unrelated route or setting.
