Create a compliance task or remedial repair
Use a staff task for accountable follow-up and remedial maintenance when the case requires physical work at the property.
Before you start
Use a staff task for accountable follow-up and remedial maintenance when the case requires physical work at the property.
Follow these steps
- Review the case and original evidence.
- For a task, choose the responsible staff member and due date, then Create task.
- For a repair, choose the maintenance priority and Create remedial work; this requires both compliance and maintenance authority.
- Check the linked Task or Maintenance reference in the case.
- Open the native task or Workflow Control to continue the work and track completion.
Check it worked
A real task or native maintenance request is linked back to the case and the same property.
If something does not look right
If creation is refused, check the relevant domain grants and property visibility. Do not keep creating new work when the case already has a linked task or request; review the existing item first.
Questions and answers
Does creating remedial work close the case?
No. Creation starts the work. Check evidence, repair progress and the eventual case decision.
Who receives the task?
Use the selected staff assignee; leaving it unassigned requires a separate ownership decision.
Can Flow certify that the repair is legally sufficient?
No. The team must review the resulting work and any required updated safety evidence.
