Set maintenance priority
Choose the displayed priority based on urgency and risk.
Before you start
Clients must be linked to the property. Staff need the relevant maintenance permission; customer View can expose the hub but does not authorise writes.
Follow these steps
- Open the maintenance request and confirm property, tenant and current status.
- Choose the displayed priority based on urgency and risk.
- Priorities are Low, Medium, High, Urgent and Emergency. An unrecognised value is normalised to Medium. Record the practical urgency; selecting Emergency does not contact emergency services.
- Save and reopen the request, checking any supplier job or invoice link.
Fields, rules and limits
- Priorities are Low, Medium, High, Urgent and Emergency. An unrecognised value is normalised to Medium. Record the practical urgency; selecting Emergency does not contact emergency services.
Check it worked
The request reflects the intended change and remains linked to the correct property and job.
If something does not look right
If the expected result is missing, check the saved record, the current workspace and the action’s permissions. Record the exact validation message; do not repeat a state-changing action until you know whether the first attempt saved.
Questions and answers
Can customer View authorise maintenance changes?
No. It can expose the hub, but create/edit/delete actions require the corresponding maintenance authority and access to the selected request.
Can I use Save Request to start a new repair?
Save Request edits an existing request. New work starts through the client request form, Allocate Job or the separate Flow remedial workflow.
