Exact navigation Admin Area → Human Resources → People Operations → Employee Register
Code-backed scope These instructions follow Human Resource Management v1.3.0. Use only controls visible to your permission level and confirm the saved record or audit entry after every action.

What you need before you start

  • Access to Admin Area → Human Resources → People Operations → Employee Register.
  • The Human Resource Management: View capability or administrator access.
  • The correct employee, record, period or evidence reference before making a change.

How to do it

  1. Open Human Resources → People Operations.
  2. Find the employee in Employee Register and confirm the HR employee number.
  3. Choose Active, Inactive or Left from the status control.
  4. Submit the status change once.
  5. If you are an administrator or have Approve capability, the Employee Record Centre change is applied and linked records are synchronised immediately.
  6. If the change is controlled and you do not have Approve capability, note the generated change-request reference and ask an authorised approver to decide it in Employee Record Centre → Approval Queue.
  7. Reopen People Operations and Employee Record Centre; confirm the final status, record version, change history and synchronisation logs.

What the module checks

  • The employee ID must be valid.
  • Selecting the existing status is rejected.
  • A pending request does not change operational records until approved.
  • On immediate application, all linked records are synchronised; failures are reported rather than silently ignored.

What happens next

The result remains available from Admin Area → Human Resources → People Operations → Employee Register. Verify the final status, linked records and audit evidence.

Troubleshooting

HR data safety Restrict identity, right-to-work, payroll, bank, health, disciplinary and document information to authorised staff. Do not place protected values in free-text notes, email recipients or screenshots.
