Request and review controlled stage changes
Use separate request and review actions for stages that require approval.
Where to goOpen a deal → Move / request approval
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Britixo workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Complete the destination stage’s requirements and save the current deal.
- Choose a stage marked approval required and choose Move / request approval.
- The deal remains in its current stage while the request is pending.
- A different authorised reviewer opens the deal, reviews the information and chooses Approve or Reject. Rejection requires a review note.
- Reopen the deal to check its resulting stage and history.
Behavior and limits
- Requesters cannot approve their own requests, including administrators.
- An active eligible reviewer must exist before a request can be submitted. Approval permission alone does not grant access to every deal.
- Only one stage request may be pending per deal. An approved request cannot be replayed.
- Editing deal details or archiving/restoring the deal cancels a pending request. A new request must use the current data.
- Requirements are checked again when approval is applied. Changes to configuration may require updated information first.
Check it worked
- Confirm that a pending request did not move the deal prematurely. After approval, confirm the new stage and stage-change event.
Troubleshooting
- If no reviewer is eligible, an administrator should configure an appropriate role and record access.
- If a request changed or expired, refresh the deal. The owner should correct the information and submit a new request.
