Before you beginThis guide follows Accounting and Bookkeeping module version 1.4.5. The required access is Accounting Checks: Edit. A related screen can remain hidden when an optional module is inactive, a source record is in an ineligible status, the selected account is inactive or the user is not an assigned approver.

What this feature does

Select a supported check style and control the bank address, company logo, numbering and signature presentation. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.

How the module flow works

The module includes configure_checks, sample check and PDF views and update_configure_checks. It supports company logo removal and signature attachment management.

The two-signature and bank-address switches are explicit module options.

Physical printer alignment varies; validate each layout with approved stationery before live printing.

Step-by-step workflow

  1. Choose the relevant bank account or configuration.
  2. Select the check type and preview the sample.
  3. Enter bank address and display preference.
  4. Set the current or next check number.
  5. Configure routing and account information only where required.
  6. Upload authorised logo and signature images.
  7. Save and print a voided sample for alignment review.

Important fields and decisions

Check typeThe module supports layouts identified as types 1 through 4.
Bank addressCan be displayed when enabled.
Company logoOptional uploaded logo for the check.
Two-signature optionControls whether two signature positions are shown.
Signer and signature imageMust be authorised and protected.
Current check numberSets the next number sequence.
Routing and account informationDisplayed only according to configuration and security policy.

What happens after completion

After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.

  • Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
  • Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
  • Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.

Controls, checks and common mistakes

  • Never expose bank details beyond the printed check requirement.
  • Restrict signature upload and deletion.
  • Do not reset the check number over an existing sequence.
  • Use a voided sample, not a live negotiable check.
  • Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
  • Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
Accounting and data safetyDeletion, reset, void, refund, mapping, journal and reconciliation actions can change financial history. Use approved access, retain supporting evidence and validate the result in the General Ledger or relevant control report.
