Export a project budget
Create an Excel output of project budget details for controlled review, approval evidence or project reporting.
What this feature does
Create an Excel output of project budget details for controlled review, approval evidence or project reporting. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.
How the module flow works
The controller provides export_project_budget_excel. The export reflects saved module data at generation time.
An export is useful for discussion and evidence but does not update the project budget when edited externally.
Use the detail page and approval history to verify current status.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the correct project budget.
- Confirm current status and values.
- Choose Export Excel.
- Open the file and check totals.
- Label the file with project, status and date.
- Store it in the approved project location.
- Regenerate after approved changes rather than editing the export as the system record.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.
- Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
- Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
- Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Protect project financial data.
- Do not present a draft as approved.
- Do not edit the exported file and assume Britixo changed.
- Retain the system record as source of truth.
- Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
- Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
