Manage, correct and delete transfers
Review transfer history and correct an erroneous inter-account movement through the supported lifecycle.
What this feature does
Review transfer history and correct an erroneous inter-account movement through the supported lifecycle. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.
How the module flow works
The controller provides delete_transfer and transfer_bulk_action. Because a transfer affects two accounts, every correction must be reviewed on both sides.
If the original transfer occurred but was classified incorrectly, a correcting entry may be more appropriate than deletion.
Bank reconciliation is the final verification that both statement movements are represented.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the transfer and compare it with both bank statements.
- Check whether feed rows are matched.
- Unmatch incorrect feed relationships first where required.
- Use edit only when policy allows and the period is open.
- Use delete only for an erroneous unused transfer.
- Create the corrected transfer.
- Reconcile both accounts and retain the correction note.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.
- Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
- Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
- Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Do not delete one side manually.
- Do not leave bank-feed rows matched to a deleted transfer.
- Respect closed periods.
- Review later reconciliations for impact.
- Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
- Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
