Understand the Appointments menu
Learn which staff menu options appear and the permission required for each one.
What this feature does
Learn which staff menu options appear and the permission required for each one. It uses Britixo's permission-aware appointment, availability, status and integration flow rather than an unconnected diary entry.
How the module flow works
The parent menu links to the Appointments list and is shown when the user has View access.
Services, Company Schedule, Staff Working Hours and Settings are added only for users with Edit access.
History is added as a module child, Reports requires View Reports, and Booking Form opens the public form in a new browser tab.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the Appointments parent menu.
- Use Appointments for the table, filters and record actions.
- Use Services to define duration, price, providers and buffers.
- Use Company Schedule and Staff Working Hours to control availability.
- Use History and Reports for operational review.
- Use Booking Form to preview the customer-facing experience.
- Use Settings to configure module-wide behaviour.

What happens after completion
After this workflow completes, Britixo keeps the appointment and its supported relationships connected. Reopen the appointment and verify the saved status, date, timezone, customer or lead, service, provider, attendees, reminder state, calendar or meeting reference, invoice reference and history that apply to this feature. External email, SMS, Google, Microsoft or payment outcomes must be checked separately from the Britixo database save.
- Open the saved appointment and confirm the final status and source.
- Check the participant, provider, timing and timezone from the full detail page.
- Review the relevant table filter, calendar, history, report or linked invoice instead of relying only on a success message.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- A missing child menu normally indicates insufficient permission.
- The public booking form can open even when the staff user lacks Create permission because it is a public preview link.
- Do not confuse the module Settings link with general CRM settings.
- Use the least destructive correction and retain the appointment history when the booking existed operationally.
- Never bypass a permission, availability, approval, client-access or verification control by changing an unrelated route or setting.
