Technology & workflows / Britixo call centres

A genuine caller identity. A usable way back.

The number a customer sees should make the conversation easier to trust and return. Britixo agrees caller ID and number arrangements as part of the campaign and telephone infrastructure scope.

A clear route forward

  1. Authorised number
  2. Identifiable caller
  3. Return-contact route
Illustrative workflow. The people, systems and responsibilities are confirmed in your written service scope.

Use numbers you are entitled to present

Caller ID must be considered alongside the identity stated in the conversation. We agree the business being represented, the number to display and the evidence of authority to use it. A familiar-looking number is not a substitute for an honest introduction. Britixo does not offer deceptive number presentation or impersonation.

Numbers must also work operationally. Check what happens when someone calls back, whether the receiving team recognises the campaign and how a callback or objection reaches the correct record. The precise technical requirements and provider checks depend on the service and current calling-line identification rules.

Plan ownership, forwarding and porting

Tell us which numbers you already use, the current provider and whether the requirement is a new number, forwarding or a port. Number availability and portability need confirmation. Retain a clear account of who controls the service and who is authorised to request changes.

A port can affect an existing live telephone arrangement, so the switch needs an agreed schedule and routing test. Do not cancel an existing service based only on an initial enquiry. Number rental, porting, forwarding and telephone usage are separate commercial items unless expressly included in the quotation.

Treat callback handling as part of the campaign

An outbound campaign can create incoming calls later. Agree whether callbacks reach your team, an agent session or an appropriate message and follow-up process. If a contact asks not to receive marketing, that preference needs to reach the suppression process rather than remain in a general inbox.

For example, a prospect returning a missed call should reach an accurate explanation of the business and a useful next step. This is an illustrative service design. No choice of number guarantees that calls will be answered, avoid spam labelling or produce a particular connection rate; delivery also depends on networks, contact preferences and campaign practice.

Can caller ID make every prospect answer?

No. Genuine presentation supports a clear identity but does not guarantee answering, network treatment or campaign results.

Are UK numbers included in the agent-hour price?

Number services and external telephone usage are separate unless the written quotation specifically includes them.
