Banking workspace overview
Manage bank accounts, connected or imported feeds, posted transactions, matching and bank reconciliation from one permission-aware area.
What this feature does
Manage bank accounts, connected or imported feeds, posted transactions, matching and bank reconciliation from one permission-aware area. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.
How the module flow works
The Banking controller loads separate tabs and tables for bank accounts, feeds, posted transactions, import and the register. It also provides actions for adding, matching, bulk matching, updating, exporting and reconciling.
A feed entry is external bank evidence. A posted Accounting transaction is the ledger representation. Matching connects the two; it does not change the original bank statement.
Plaid connectivity is optional. Manual spreadsheet import remains a separate workflow.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open Accounting → Banking.
- Select Bank Accounts to review configured accounts.
- Open Banking Feeds and choose the relevant bank.
- Filter unreviewed, matched, ignored or posted activity.
- Add or match transactions using the supported actions.
- Open the banking register.
- Complete reconciliation against the bank statement.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.
- Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
- Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
- Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Restrict bank configuration and delete permissions.
- Do not treat a downloaded bank transaction as automatically classified.
- Keep bank account currency consistent.
- Complete reconciliation before closing the period.
- Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
- Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
