Use bank reconciliation reports
Review completed reconciliation summaries and transaction-level details for each bank account and statement period.
What this feature does
Review completed reconciliation summaries and transaction-level details for each bank account and statement period. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.
How the module flow works
The module provides separate Bank Reconciliation Summary and Bank Reconciliation Detail report endpoints. These reports are based on the module's reconciliation records, not merely the current bank register.
A report can show a completed reconciliation even if later transactions were edited; use reopen controls and audit review when underlying data changes.
Pair the report with the statement and supporting source documents for a complete audit file.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the Summary report and select account and period.
- Confirm beginning and ending statement balances.
- Open the Detail report.
- Review cleared withdrawals, deposits, outstanding items and adjustments.
- Trace exceptions to the register and source transaction.
- Export or print the report.
- Retain it with the official statement.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.
- Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
- Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
- Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Use the same period as the bank statement.
- Investigate stale outstanding items.
- Do not rely on a summary without detail for material accounts.
- Protect bank reports as confidential data.
- Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
- Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
