Review and edit banking feeds
Filter new bank activity, correct review fields and decide whether to add, match, ignore or defer each transaction.
What this feature does
Filter new bank activity, correct review fields and decide whether to add, match, ignore or defer each transaction. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.
How the module flow works
The banking feed detail includes date, check number, payee, description, withdrawals, deposits, rule and status information. The controller provides update, add, match, unmatch, bulk-match, ignore, delete and rule-undo actions.
Feed editing does not alter the external bank. It prepares the local review and accounting decision.
A bank row can be exported for controlled editing and re-imported using the dedicated edited-feed process.
Step-by-step workflow
- Choose the bank account and date range.
- Review each new feed row against source documents.
- Correct editable payee, description or classification fields where supported.
- Use Add when no Accounting transaction exists.
- Use Match when an existing payment, transfer or ledger transaction exists.
- Use Ignore only for genuine non-posting rows.
- Reconcile the final reviewed period.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.
- Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
- Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
- Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Do not add a transaction that already exists in Accounting.
- Do not ignore unexplained bank movement.
- Check withdrawal versus deposit direction.
- Use bulk actions only on homogeneous reviewed rows.
- Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
- Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
