Complete the Accounting setup checklist
Configure the module in a controlled order before converting live transactions or relying on reports.
What this feature does
Configure the module in a controlled order before converting live transactions or relying on reports. It forms part of Britixo Enterprise CRM's Accounting & Bookkeeping module and uses the module's permission-aware controller, status and mapping flow rather than a generic spreadsheet process.
How the module flow works
The module exposes general, banking-rules, mapping-setup, account-type-details, Plaid environment, income-statement modification, currency-rates, class, budget-categories and approval setting groups. Not every organisation needs every group.
Optional mapping tabs become relevant only when their source modules are active. For example, warehouse mappings should be completed before converting stock imports, exports, opening stock or loss adjustments.
Use a controlled test period and compare the Trial Balance, General Ledger and source CRM documents before live rollout.
Step-by-step workflow
- Confirm the organisation's accounting policies and opening date.
- Configure general settings without enabling broad automatic conversion.
- Build or import the Chart of Accounts.
- Configure account-type details, classes and currency rates where used.
- Complete all mappings relevant to active CRM and optional modules.
- Enter opening balances through the approved method.
- Test one invoice, payment, expense, bill and bank reconciliation.
- Enable automation only after the test entries and reports are correct.
Important fields and decisions
What happens after completion
After the action is saved, Britixo keeps the Accounting record connected to its source and updates the visible status or ledger data supported by this workflow. Review the saved result rather than relying only on a success message. Where the action posts accounting data, total debits and credits must balance and the accounts must match the approved mapping or manual selection.
- Open the saved record and confirm its final status.
- Review the source reference and every debit and credit line where ledger data was created.
- Use the relevant register, ageing, reconciliation or report to verify the wider effect.
Controls, checks and common mistakes
- Take an approved opening-balance snapshot.
- Do not import duplicate accounts.
- Do not enable mappings for inactive workflows merely to fill fields.
- Document every default account and approval decision.
- Use the least destructive correction available and record the reason for material changes.
- Do not bypass a permission, approval or closed-period control by changing unrelated data.
