How to prepare information-return batches and corrections
Use this guide in your Britixo workspace. Follow the Information Returns workflow in Britixo to prepare information-return batches and corrections.
Before you start
Required access: Manage information returns. The module must be enabled and its installed version ready for your workspace. Select the intended taxpayer, authority and period before changing a record.
How to prepare information-return batches and corrections
- Choose Payer / taxpayer, Form type, Tax year and Processing year; select Create batch.
- Open the batch. Enter Recipient name, TIN, Amount, State and Form box data JSON, then Add encrypted recipient.
- Review the recipients and choose Validate against verified schema.
- Correct failed data before proceeding through an available authorised filing route.
- Use Create correction for the intended eligible batch/record and review the linked correction evidence.
Controls and limits
- A prepared or schema-valid batch is not an accepted IRIS or SSA filing.
- Exact form/year schemas, authority access and supported transport are required. Do not infer production availability from an IRIS-ready workspace label.
Check the result
Reopen the affected record and confirm the taxpayer, period, saved values and status. For external actions, inspect the actual authority acknowledgement or settlement evidence; a local saved or queued state is not acceptance.
If you cannot continue
Read the displayed validation or readiness message. Check the module version, role, source scope, authority, period and current approval evidence. If another person changed the record, refresh and review the current version. Give support the screen, error wording and correlation reference; keep passwords, one-time codes and tax identifiers out of public messages.
