How to create a US taxpayer profile
Use this guide in your Britixo workspace. Follow the Taxpayers workflow in Britixo to create a us taxpayer profile.
Before you start
Required access: Manage taxpayer profiles. The module must be enabled and its installed version ready for your workspace. Select the intended taxpayer, authority and period before changing a record.
How to create a US taxpayer profile
- Choose Taxpayer kind and enter Legal / taxpayer name and optional DBA / trade name.
- Select Legal entity, Federal classification, Formation state and Primary state.
- Enter the applicable EIN or SSN / ITIN and Date of birth, then Tax year end and Accounting method.
- Link a CRM client ID if appropriate and choose Create taxpayer.
- Check the taxpayer record before creating registrations, source scopes or returns.
Controls and limits
- Business identity and federal tax classification are separate fields.
- Sensitive identifiers are encrypted and masked according to access. A public business search result is not a verified taxpayer identification number.
Check the result
Reopen the affected record and confirm the taxpayer, period, saved values and status. For external actions, inspect the actual authority acknowledgement or settlement evidence; a local saved or queued state is not acceptance.
If you cannot continue
Read the displayed validation or readiness message. Check the module version, role, source scope, authority, period and current approval evidence. If another person changed the record, refresh and review the current version. Give support the screen, error wording and correlation reference; keep passwords, one-time codes and tax identifiers out of public messages.
