View VPS metrics, IP details and reverse DNS
Review traffic and IP information, and update permitted reverse-DNS settings.
Where to goVPS Control Panel → Metrics / Networking
Before you startUse values appropriate to the selected VPS and IP address. Network changes can affect hosted services.
Follow these steps
- Open Metrics for the selected VPS and choose the displayed time period or From and To dates.
- Select available granularity or aggregation controls and review the returned traffic information.
- Open Networking and view the IP address details.
- Where allowed, choose Edit reverse DNS, enter the required hostname and choose Save reverse DNS.
- Check the operation result and the updated IP details. Allow for provider processing before expecting external results to change.
Details that matter
Metrics periodA different date range or aggregation changes how the graph summarises traffic.
Reverse DNSThis sets the reverse lookup for the selected IP where supported; it is not a general domain DNS editor.
Common questions
Why is the chart empty?
Check the period, server selection and available provider data before concluding that there was no activity.
Can I add arbitrary IP addresses?
Use only the addresses and actions returned for your service. Ask Britixo about additional allocation.
