When is a newly ordered server ready to use?
An order or paid invoice does not by itself prove that a server is ready. Provisioning can involve allocation, installation and preparation of access information. Use the service’s returned status and the confirmed delivery information rather than assuming an instant setup time.
Before you start
- The order or invoice reference and access to the correct customer account.
Instructions
1. Check order and payment separately
Open the relevant invoice in My Account → Billing & invoices and review its payment record. A pending payment or reconciliation state should be resolved through that invoice’s process. Avoid creating another order because the first server has not yet appeared.
2. Inspect the service state
Open Hosting Solutions and the intended VPS service when it becomes available. In its Control Panel, review Overview and Activity for the current state and recorded operations. Dedicated-server delivery may follow a different confirmed process; ask for the applicable handover details.
3. Validate the completed handover
Confirm the server identifier, operating system, allocated resources and permitted connection method. Test authorised access and the application’s required network path before scheduling a public cutover. If provisioning remains unclear, provide the existing order reference, latest state and timestamp to support without sharing credentials.
Check the result
- The service reports a completed usable state and authorised access works.
- The installed specification matches the confirmed order.
Troubleshooting
- Payment is recorded but no server is ready
- Ask support for the provisioning state and any outstanding requirement using the same order reference. Payment completion and technical readiness are separate checks.
