How to prepare a Business Source Adjustable Summary adjustment
Use this guide in your Britixo workspace. Follow the Business Adjustments workflow in Britixo to prepare a business source adjustable summary adjustment.
Before you start
Required access: Prepare/adjust and relevant filing permissions. The module must be enabled and its installed version ready for your workspace. Select the intended taxpayer, authority and period before changing a record.
How to prepare a Business Source Adjustable Summary adjustment
- Select Taxpayer, Tax year and HMRC authority; choose Load HMRC summaries.
- Review business-source coverage and open the accepted source snapshot where shown.
- Choose Generate HMRC adjustable summary for the intended business.
- Choose Prepare adjustment, enter the HMRC adjustment JSON and select Validate and freeze BSAS adjustment.
- Open the resulting frozen adjustment, review its exact payload, obtain approvals and use its permitted submission action.
- Check Frozen adjustment history and year-end readiness after the HMRC response.
Controls and limits
- The adjustment must correspond to the correct HMRC summary and business source.
- Invalid or unsupported payloads must be corrected before freezing; review does not waive schema checks.
Check the result
Reopen the affected record and confirm the taxpayer, period, saved values and status. For external actions, inspect the actual authority acknowledgement or settlement evidence; a local saved or queued state is not acceptance.
If you cannot continue
Read the displayed validation or readiness message. Check the module version, role, source scope, authority, period and current approval evidence. If another person changed the record, refresh and review the current version. Give support the screen, error wording and correlation reference; keep passwords, one-time codes and tax identifiers out of public messages.
