Choose call-distribution settings and add available extensions as group or queue members.
Where to goConfigure your VoIP → Ring groups / Call queues
Before you startReview the intended team, active extensions and fallback behaviour before changing a live call flow.
Follow these steps
- For a ring group, open Ring groups and choose Add or Edit. Set its name, available strategy, ring time, fallback destination and status.
- Use Add member to select an extension and ring order. Edit existing members when required.
- For a queue, open Call queues and choose Add or Edit. Set its name, strategy, timeout, retry interval, maximum wait and status.
- Choose an available queue strategy such as ring all, round-robin memory, least recent, fewest calls, random or linear.
- Add queue members with their extension, priority and paused state. Review existing members before saving.
- Choose Save configuration. Connect the group or queue through the intended incoming route and test answered, unanswered and fallback calls.
Details that matter
Paused memberA paused queue member is treated differently from an available member; review the state when someone should receive calls.
Waiting and fallbackRing time, retry and maximum wait affect the caller experience. Keep the fallback destination valid.
Common questions
Does adding a member create a new extension?
No. Select an existing eligible extension. Ask Britixo about additional extension provisioning.
How do I stop a group or queue being used?
Review its status and the incoming routes pointing to it. Use the available status controls and confirm the resulting call flow.
