Configure quantity tiers and volume prices
Apply the correct unit rate to the whole product quantity at clearly defined thresholds.
Where to goSales CRM → Products & pricing → Configure price book → Quantity tier
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Britixo workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Add a product and set its base unit price. This applies when no quantity tier qualifies.
- Select Quantity tier. Enter the minimum quantity and the unit price that applies from that quantity.
- Add further tiers with different minimum quantities. Save the price book.
- Prepare a quote with a quantity just below, exactly at and above a threshold to review the result before using the pricing with customers.
Behavior and limits
- Up to 10 tiers are supported per product. Thresholds are sorted numerically when saved.
- The highest qualifying minimum selects one unit rate for the entire line. This is volume pricing, not progressive pricing of separate quantity bands.
- For a base rate of 100.00 and a rate of 90.00 from 10 units, 9 units cost 900.00 and 10 units cost 900.00 before discount and tax.
- Quantities allow three decimal places, from 0.001 to 999999.999. Rates allow two decimal places, from zero to 9999999.99.
- A product appears once per quotation. Combine repeated quantities so tier selection is consistent.
Check it worked
- The price breakdown identifies the applied unit price and the tier minimum when a tier is used.
- Multiply the selected rate by quantity and compare the rounded line amount.
Troubleshooting
- Duplicate minimum quantities are rejected. Remove the duplicate or use a distinct threshold.
- If no tier appears, the quantity is below every configured minimum.
- If the total exceeds the quote limit, reduce the scope or use separate quotations with clear commercial references; do not alter the rate merely to bypass a limit.
