Configure and troubleshoot bulk editing permissions
Understand the additional bulk capability and the record-level checks that continue to apply.
Where to goNative staff or role permissions → Sales CRM; Sales CRM → Deals → Select deals
Before you start
Use your own authorised staff account in the intended Britixo workspace. The Sales CRM module must be available and your role must include the permissions stated above. Existing leads, customers, communications and customer portal pages retain their normal access rules.
Follow these steps
- Review which staff should apply changes across multiple opportunities.
- In the existing staff or role permission controls, review Sales CRM viewing access, Edit accessible deals and Apply bulk opportunity changes.
- Grant only the capabilities appropriate to the staff member’s responsibilities. View all deals is additionally needed for changing owners.
- Return to Sales CRM with the staff member’s normal session, refresh the page and confirm the expected controls appear.
- Use a small, deliberate selection and inspect a read-only preview before applying a real business change.
Behavior and limits
- The module introduces a separate Apply bulk opportunity changes capability. Existing staff and role grants are not automatically broadened.
- Viewing access and Edit are required alongside the bulk capability. The bulk capability alone grants no record access.
- Own-view staff can act only on opportunities they own. Server checks remain authoritative even if a stale browser still shows a control.
- Stage approval, required fields, active staff eligibility, native linked-record permissions and concurrent revisions are checked for each row.
- Bulk tools do not expose permanent deletion, arbitrary database updates or automatic outbound messages.
- Administrators use their normal administrative authority; this feature does not create another account or bypass sign-in.
Check it worked
- Confirm permitted users can preview their accessible opportunities and inappropriate selections receive clear errors.
- Check that a user with Edit but without the bulk capability does not receive Select deals.
Troubleshooting
- After a permission update, refresh the authenticated page to reload the control catalogue.
- An access error on a previously visible opportunity may indicate reassignment or a permission change; refresh before acting again.
- For unresolved errors, provide support the job ID, operation and exact message, without passwords, session cookies or unnecessary customer details.
